Daily Digest #14
Now it came to pass, when the time had come for [Jesus] to be received up, that He steadfastly set His face to go to Jerusalem. —Luke 9:51
We are often shaken by the simplest things moving around us. The fact that these things (people, nature, or just about anything other than ourselves) are moving on their own keeps them out of our hands. And we always try to control things as we want. At these times, we forget who is truly in charge.
May we learn to pray to God "Thy will be done" at all times, completely trusting Him and not turning back to our "what ifs" and "should've-could've-would've beens". May we learn to humble ourselves by admitting that we are incapable of so many things, much more than what we think. May we trust in His ways, no matter how senseless they seem now. May we keep looking up to Him and let His glory rule our lives.
