Daily Digest #98
Let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. —Galatians 6:9
Blessings overflow, even when we don't realize it. We sometimes wonder what we're here for or why we're not happy, especially when we have explored what we think is "everything" in our lives. Each of us is gifted with unique skills, talents and resources that we ought to spread around. They were not given for our own comfort and enjoyment. We are often caught between making use of what we have for our own good, and for the good of others. But God has clearly shown how life's purpose is fulfilled by serving others... through Jesus Christ. Each of us has a mission here on earth. And if we continue looking up to God, just as His Son did, He will show us the way, and realize what we're actually here for.
For this, let us pray. May we look not on what we can gain, but what we can offer instead. May we submit ourselves to Him, and accept Jesus Christ as our savior and role model in service -- loving others as we love ourselves. Pray always.
