Daily Digest #325
The Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save . . . . [But] your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear. —Isaiah 59:1-2
I believe there's no such thing as an unanswered prayer. God hears our prayers. The only problem is how we perceive His answers, or if we even choose to perceive it. We know that the answer to our prayers can either be yes, no, or wait. Sometimes we can't tell because we lack faith. And sometimes we can't accept because we want things to go our way. We are too impatient to wait. We want things to happen now. We are even too stubborn to do our part. And when things happen immediately, we forget that we prayed for them to happen and forget God for answering our prayers. Sometimes, just when we think we know what's best for us, we're very much mistaken. God always knows what's best for us.... if only we believe, and trust. God always has answers, and He always has a purpose.
I found other articles about "unanswered" prayers, or when God says no. When you have the time, I hope you get to visit these: http://www.heartlig ht.org/feature/ feature_970625_ sezno.html and http://ncvolunteer. wordpress. com/2008/ 01/21/when- god-says- no/. I hope we all get to be enlightened today, and believe that there are no unanswered prayers.
For this, let us pray. Lord, thank You for always listening to our prayers. Thank You for all the times that You humbled us with answers that are so much better than our own. Lord, we are easily weakened by our little faith. Please help us with our unbelief. May we learn to trust Your ways. Please bless our prayer times -- may they always be intimate and truthful. May we grow a patient heart. In Jesus' name, we ask. Amen.
